    Job Overview:

    The Country Head of sales for Medical Equipment is responsible for leading the sales strategy and operations for medical equipment across the country. This role involves developing and executing sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical equipment sales, proven leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the healthcare sector.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
      • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market trends, and growth areas in the medical equipment sector.
      • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure successful execution of the sales strategy.
    2. Team Leadership and Management:
      • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
      • Foster a positive and motivating work environment to drive team productivity and engagement.
      • Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to build a strong and capable team.
    3. Key Account Management:
      • Build and maintain relationships with major accounts, including hospitals, clinics, distributors, and government agencies.
      • Negotiate and close contracts and agreements with key clients to secure and expand business opportunities.
      • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
    4. Market Analysis and Development:
      • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
      • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
      • Analyze sales data and market insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
    5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
      • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and updates to senior management.
      • Evaluate sales metrics, track progress toward targets, and implement corrective actions as required.
      • Use data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.
    6. Product Knowledge and Training:
      • Stay abreast of industry developments, product innovations, and technological advancements in medical equipment.
      • Ensure the sales team is well-informed and trained on product features, benefits, and competitive positioning.
      • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to clients and internal teams.
    7. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
      • Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including healthcare standards and industry regulations.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure compliance across all sales operations.
    8. Budget and Financial Management:
      • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
      • Monitor expenses and financial performance, making adjustments to stay within budget and maximize profitability.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical equipment sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams.
    • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and strategies.
    • Travel: Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and regional sales activities.
